May 1, 2006-the city was SHUT DOWN all afternoon- the march started up at 20th/Ave by St. Mary's and down So Jackson St thru the central district thru the international district, pioneer square to the Federal building. it was HUGE. i did see a handful of Asians...

Real plates, utensils, lots of GOOD food for this gathering & reception at the WLAM, standing room only, Rep. Sharon Tomiko Santos was the MC and her assistant was Rep. Bob Hasegawa who handed out the lei's for the awardees.

The group photo shot was crazed as, the Paparazzo of ChinaTown ( assunta ng ) pushing her way to the front to claim the best angle- doing so she knocked me to my already injured knees.
